Today I read "Sleepy Teens get a Wake-Up Call" from Newsela. My summary about the article is: "Sleepy Teens get a Wake Up Call" explains why teens should wake up later in the day.(for school)
I disagree because I wake up rested plenty, and if some kids don't maybe they're staying up too late. Also if you think about it if the day started later you'd get out later. I'd rather get out at 2:55 than 3:55, but that's just my opinion.
I like that the text said "Later start times could cause scheduling problems. Will there still be enough time for classes if the day starts later? Will parents still be able to get their kids ready for school before going to work?"
In my opinion if your tired you should go to bed earlier, I mean it's not your schools fault your tired. I mean you need to wake up at 6:00-6:30 for 5 days a week, you can't stay up until 12:30 every night! Would you rather stay an hour later in school or get out a normal time and wake up at the same time as usual?
Like I said if I had the power to decide I'd have things stay just the way they are.
