Over spring break I had a sleep over with one of my best friends. We went to the park by my house, played volleyball, and met up with some of our friends at the park and played truth or dare. Also over spring break I went to my grandparents house and started to watch basketball with my cousins but they ended up screaming at the t.v so I stopped watching it. During spring break I got a trampoline and we are going to be setting it up soon. And, I also read over spring break.
This week we read about different tooth traditions. My favorite was Turkey. In Turkey the parents of the kid that loses the tooth buries the tooth in a place that represents what they want their kid to be when they get older. For example if they wanted their kid to be a teacher they'd bury the tooth in a school yard.
This is different than what my family does when I lose a tooth or one of my siblings does. In my family when someone loses a tooth we put the tooth under our pillow at night (after cleaning it) and at 11:11, my mom says that's when the Tooth Fairy comes. My dad says we have to be asleep by midnight or else she doesn't give you any money, she just takes the tooth. What people do in Turkey is definitely different than what my family does. I made a Animoto with vocabulary words and their definition with synonyms and two pictures> I hope you like my Animoto. (: I read a poem called "Milk" with one of my table mates. I noticed that in the poem the second line and the last line rhyme with each other. But, in the last stanza the third and last line rhyme. The elements of plot are, exposition, problem, solution, rising action, climax, and falling action. To work on the elements of plot we've been watching Pixar shorts. Today in math my class all got 10 skittles each and we got the percents for each color, red, green, yellow, orange, and purple. We all did our own individual samples and then we did a class sample. We were trying to find out what percent is each color of the bag of Skittles. Then we made two pie charts to represent the data We put together class data because the more you have the numbers will be more accurate.The pie chart on the left is my data and the one on the right is the class data.
